Properly Crate Your Pets

Make sure you properly crate them (make sure it’s spacious) before your car ride. This will help prevent your pet from running off wildly. Purchase a carrier that is made using high quality materials and has a proper barrier.

Get Them a Proper ID Tag

Make sure your pet has a proper ID with their collar so that in case they manage to escape or you’re separated from them, others will be able to identify them easily.

This will save you from a massive headache and help prevent someone from stealing your pet. If you’re a cat owner, it’s important to get your cat chipped.

Make sure the ID has your contact number, complete address, and all the relevant information needed to identify your pet.

Don’t Let Them Ride in a Truck Bed  

Not only is placing your pet in a truck bed dangerous, it can also harm someone else. A study published by AVMA shows that 592 dogs were treated for injuries related to truck beds.
Therefore, it’s best to keep your pet in the front seat and drive carefully.
